The PS Hyplus OPTIMA female is the result of cross-breeding between the GP OPTIMA female and the GP25 male from our new selection model based on sustainability.
This new parental female is recognised as the female to be able to wean the highest weight in kilograms of kits per insemination.

The PS Hyplus OPTIMA female inherited the challenge selection on resistance to infectious disorders from the GP25 male, but also all the sustainability work carried out on the GP OPTIMA female. This parental female was designed to respond to an actual cost reduction model, by optimising the sellable carcass kilos per AI. The common threads of this approach were the reduction in medication, animal welfare and breeder well-being. The results of our field trials confirmed the performance estimated in our genetic predictions. The PS Hyplus OPTIMA female is proof that the quest for performance does not exclude ease of handling and robustness.
